The main reason is accessibility – smartphones are owned by over half of the population of the USA and by over 2.1 billion people worldwide. Statistics introduced by Pew Research Centre demonstrate that 92% of a population aged between 18 – 29 uses smartphones. Recent research demonstrates that over 55% of smartphone users play mobile games on a daily basis. It is the #1 App category of choice across all genders, ages, and occupations. According to Translate Media, the estimated mobile gaming revenues by 2019 will be $52 billion globally.
